New Vernon County 4-H family orientation held

Families new to Vernon County 4-H were invited to attend the New 4-H Family dinner and orientation Monday, Dec. 7 at the Vernon County home economics building.

Hosted by the Vernon County 4-H Council, new families ate a spaghetti dinner and then received an orientation presentation by Amanda Davis, Vernon County 4-H youth educator.

Families learned about the 4-H club concept, volunteer and family roles, the diversity of projects offered through 4-H, the Vernon County Youth Fair and other county and state activities and events available to them.

Families interested in joining Vernon County 4-H may call the Vernon County Extension Office at 448-2560, or visit the office located inside the Vernon County Courthouse.
