Four people were taken into custody after a search warrant was served at a residence on the 300 block of South Pine Street in Nevada on Monday.
According to Sheriff's Office officials, the VCSO fugitive task force served a search warrant looking for wanted fugitive Christopher L. Foster, 33, of Nevada.
According to officials, a second person was arrested at the scene and has been identified as 36-year-old Sheldon resident Anna M. Williams. A warrant has been issued for Williams, charging her with hindering the prosecution of a felony.
According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, Williams told investigators that Foster was not in the residence. Sheriff Mosher said Foster was found in the up-stairs of the house, hiding in a closet.
"This is the same person who fought deputies and city police recently after they found him hiding in a closet with a shotgun."
The sheriff said Foster was also recently arrested at the Pine street location for possession of a controlled substance.
According to the sheriff, two other people were also arrested at this residence but their names have not yet been released pending the filing of formal charges with the courts.
Foster is being held with no bond, and Williams' bond has been set at $5,000.
