NEVC set to host district tournament

The Northeast Vernon County Knights are hosting the Class 1 District 13 baseball tournament May 14-20 in Walker.

The tournament opens Saturday, May 14, with third-seeded NEVC (4-7)squaring-off against sixth-seeded Ballard (2-7) at 9 a.m.

The opening-round picks back up the following, Monday, May 16, as the fourth-seeded Hume Hornets (2-8) face No. 5 seed Kingsville (2-6). The first pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.

The tournament's top two seeds are Drexel (6-8) and Miami (7-6).
