Nevada Police arrest burglar

Nevada Police responded to a report of a burglary in a vacant manufacturing facility, located in the 1800 block of North Industrial Parkway on June 18, at about 10:00am. Upon arrival, responding officers observed two individuals on the roof of the building.

Officers climbed to the roof and ordered the two subjects to surrender. A female suspect complied and was taken into custody. Her male companion fled from the roof and escaped custody. Police recovered a significant amount of suspected burglar tools as well as a pile of copper pipe and other items believed to have been removed from the building. Near the scene of this crime, police recovered the suspect vehicle which was held by police

Taken into custody by Nevada Police Officers was the following individual:

Kelsey Chanelle Braker -- a 22 year old female, Lockwood, Mo resident

The suspect was transported to the Vernon County Jail, and held pending warrant application.

Warrants on Braker were issued by the Vernon County Associate Circuit Court for:

* Burglary second degree

* Stealing

* Property damage first degree

* Possession of burglar tools

Braker remains in custody on $10,000 cash only bond. Detectives have identified the male companion escapee and continue to search for the suspect.
