Frances Laverne Lauderback

Frances Laverne Lauderback, 75, Walker, Mo., passed from this life on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada, following an illness of several months. Frances was born April 4, 1941, in Alabama, to Gordon W. and Agnes Irell (Seagraves) Elliott. In April of 1982 she was united in marriage to Paul E. Lauderback, Jr. and he survives of the home.

Frances met and married Paul in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1982. They moved to Vernon County in 2000 and made their home in Walker. They have continued to reside here since that time. Frances was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kansas City, Mo. She enjoyed her dogs and working with other farm animals. She also had a love for gardening.

In addition to her husband Paul she is survived by her children, Gene Napier and his wife, Georgette, Phoenix City, Ala., Laverne Hicks, Old Hickory, Tenn., Krystyn Lauderback, Los Angeles, Calif., and Debbi Lauderback, Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren, Jessie Napier, and Patricia Napier; two brothers, Robert Elliott, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Roscoe Elliott, Columbus, Ga.; two sisters, Sue Mitchell, Phoenix City, Ala., and Dottie Presta, Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in her memory to American Red Cross in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
