Lady Tigers place 9th at CJ tourney

Fresh off its fourth-place finish at Monday's Bolivar Invitational, the Nevada Lady Tigers golf team was back in action Tuesday at the Carl Junction Tournament, played at Briarbrook Golf Course.

With a team-score of 444, Nevada finished ninth at the ll-team event. Carl Junction protected its home turf, winning the tournament after tallying a combined team score of 356. Joplin High School finished runner-up at 363, while Republic's 393 was good for third place.

Carl Junction's Kylie Carnes and Jenna Teeter, along with Joplin's Anna Iorio tied for the low individual score at 6-over par 78.

For Nevada, Kaitylnn Vincent's 109 tied her for 31st; Grace Palmer tied for 34th with a 110; Mandy Crews 38th, 112; Brooke Sargent, 113; and Lilly Quitno and Halley Otter tied for 41st at 114.

Next up

The Carthage Tournament, Sept. 19 at Carthage Municipal Golf Course, with tee times set for 8:30 a.m.
