Lady Tigers three-peat as WCC swim champions

The Nevada Lady Tigers continued their dominance of West Central Conference swimming, winning a third consecutive league championship Thursday night in Sedalia.

At the WCC championship meet, Nevada accumulated 551 team points to capture first-place. Warrensburg finished a distant second with 405.5 points, followed by host-Sedalia with 379.5; St. Pius, 206 and Archbishop O' Hara, 89.

For Nevada, senior Megan Hold netted a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.30. Other Lady Tiger first place finishers included Carlie McCaffree in the 100-yard Butterfly, as the sophomore clocked a time of 1:11.43; Makayla Haner in the 100-yard Backstroke; Paige Webb in the 500-yard Freestyle; and top finishes in the 200-yard Medley and Freestyle Relays, as well as the 400-yard Freestyle Relay ---- making it a clean sweep of relay events for NHS.
