Lady 'Cats secure road victory

Coming off Saturday's triumph in the Golden Valley Vernon County Conference tournament championship game, the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats returned to the court Tuesday night as they defeated McAuley Catholic 54-46.

The non-conference road victory improves the Lady 'Cats to 18-5 overall.

Bronaugh trailed 39-37 at the conclusion of three quarters of play, but then kicked it into high-gear as they outscored McAuley 17-7 in the final frame.

Bronaugh was boosted by Katey Rider's monster performance, as the 6-foot-2 senior forward finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots. Sophomore Riley Knapp added 13 points and four rebounds while point guard Taylor Stratford finished with 10 points.

Bronaugh held a big advantage on the glass, outrebounding McAuley 31-18.
