Nevada man arrested for assault with vehicle

Nevada Police Officers were called to the 800 Block of South Cedar Street Sunday for a disturbance in progress.

Officers arrived in the area and determined through the investigation and use of witnesses that a male subject had used his vehicle to ram several vehicles in that area.

Residents told the officers that the suspect had left the scene, but was still in the area and was still driving the vehicle.

Officers located the male subject, who they identified as Dusty A. Cox, 19, of Nevada, and took him into custody.

Cox was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony, and property damage, a class E felony through the Vernon County Circuit Court.

Cox is being held on $25,000 cash only bond at the Vernon County Sheriff's Office.
