Cottey Comets’ golf coach Mark Cole recently added a pair of signees to his inaugural recruiting class, with the commitments of Savanah Jantz and Rachel Hancock. Jantz and Hancock join Theresa Zachry, as the team is set to open play during the 2017-18 school year. Cottey golf commit Rachel Hancock of Scottsbluff, Neb. During her senior campaign this year at Scottsbluff High School, Hancock, placed in the Top 20 individually at the state tournament, while helping to lead her school to a third-place finish at the State Golf Championships. Hanckock, who also plays varsity tennis, is a member of DECA and FCA as well as treasurer of the German Club. “Besides bringing a calm but competitive disposition, Rachel is a tenacious worker,” said Cottey golf coach Mark Cole. “It is her work ethic and desire to grow on and off the golf course that attracted me to her.” Cole continued: “I am very excited about her decision to attend Cottey and I believe the golf program and College community just got a little better.
