Cottey runner Pereira nets All-American honors

Cottey Comets’ junior track-and-field athlete Oluwabukola Pereira placed sixth in the 1,500-meter run at the NJCAA Nationals, which took place May 18-20 at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College. Needing a top eight finish to receive All-American accolades, Pereira’s final time of 4:52 earned her the honors. In the 1,500-meter semifinals, Pereira clocked an identical time of 4:52.
