NHS baseball postponed due to wet conditions

Nevada High’s home baseball game with St. Michael’s Catholic High School, originally scheduled for Monday evening, was postponed due to wet field conditions and the lingering threat of area rainfall. A make-up date for the West Central Conference clash has been set for Tuesday, April 17, with the first pitch slated for 4:30 p.m. from Lyons Stadium. According to NHS athletic director John McNeley, Nevada’s April 9 conference road contest with St. Pius X has been moved to Nevada — due to construction delays with the Warriors new baseball facility. Weather permitting, Nevada is set to return to the diamond today at 4:30, as the Tigers square off at Lyons Stadium with future Big 8 Conference foe, Cassville. Nevada enters the contest 1-1 overall.
