Constitution Week proclaimed for Sept. 17-23

With the help of the Regent and officers of the Elizabeth Carey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Nevada Mayor Brian Leonard proclaimed Sept. 17-23 to be Constitution Week and urged Nevadans “to reaffirm the ideals the framers of the Constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through the guardians of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.” On hand were DAR members (from left), Laura Hicks, vice-regent; Sue Hughes, treasurer; Lynda Bishop, recording secretary; Mayor Leonard; Heather Brown, regent; Valo Jones and Betty Plush, historian.
