The American Legion continued on Thursday with their long tradition of providing Thanksgiving Day meals with approximately 100 people in attendance this year. Volunteers on the serving line moved quickly, filling plates with moist turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, hot rolls and green beans. Pumpkin pie was on the menu for dessert. The Legion has been providing the meal for over 50 years. While this year’s dinner did not provide meal delivery, several take-outs were ordered for those who could not make the trip to the Legion Hall. The meal is provided free of charge each year for those who need or want a place to go for the holiday.
