Larry Albert Harms, 57, Kearney, Mo., (formerly of Schell City) passed away on Friday, Feb. 13, 2019. Larry was born Feb. 16, 1961, in Nevada, Mo., to Albert Harms Jr. and Betty Louise (Blakely) Harms.

Larry grew up on a farm in rural Schell City and graduated from Schell City High School Class of 1979. Following high school Larry worked all of his life in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. For the past 17 years he has lived and worked in the Kansas City area.

Larry was known by all for his enjoyment of life, he was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, he loved cooking, and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Laura Harms and Jeff, Kansas City, Mo., and Christina Coyner, Springfield, Mo.; one granddaughter, Lillian Clark; one sister, Linda Robinson and her husband, Art, Bellamy, Mo.; nieces, Lori Majors, Nevada, Mo., and Shyla Delp and her husband, Darren, Round Rock, Texas; nephew, Michael Robinson, Bellamy, Mo.; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Deborah Eilene.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 18, at the Schell City Christian Church in Schell City. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17, at Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City.
