Nevada Youth Football League releases 2019 schedule
The Nevada Youth Football League, comprised of grades third through sixth, is set to kick off its season Aug. 24 at Webb City. The sixth-grade game is scheduled for 10 a.m., and is followed by the fifth-grade clash at 11:30, the fourth-grade game (1 p.m.), and the third-grade contest (2:30).
Nevada will host its first home games the following week (Aug. 31)at Logan Field, as the third through sixth-grade squads welcome in the Neosho Gold.
On Sept. 7, the Nevada teams will travel to Carl Junction. The Tigers then return to Logan Field Sept. 14 for matchups with the Joplin Blue.
Nevada receives a bye the weekend of Sept. 21. The following week is a big one for Nevada, as the Tigers square off with arch-rival Lamar on the road (Sept. 28).
Nevada then closes out their regular-season slate (Oct. 5) with a quartet of homes contests against visiting Carthage.
The third and fourth-grade championships are set for Oct. 12-13, and the fifth and sixth-grade, Oct. 19-20 — with locations and times to be determined.
