Stanford Earl Dunn

Stanford Earl Dunn, 71, passed from his earthly home on July 26, 2019, surrounded by family. Stan was born on Feb. 23, 1948, to Clifford and Wanda Dunn (Turner) in Wellsville, Mo. Stan worked in the lumber yard business along with O’Sullivan’s Industries while he raised his three children, Jessica, Jennifer, and Jacob Dunn in Sheldon, Mo.

In 1998, Stan moved to Pennsylvania where he lived for numerous years with his wife, Sharon. Stan and Sharon had recently bought a home in St. Lucie, Fla., where they spent their days relaxing and enjoying the exotic birds. Stan was an avid sports fan, he loved his Philadelphia Eagles, loved motorcycles and lighthouses. Stan was known for his kind, soft, generous heart, and he was loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Sharon, Stan is survived by his two daughters, Jessica (Matt) Servey, and Jennifer (Daniel) Laning; his stepchildren, Robert Jr. (Lynn), Rodger (Michelle), Shawna (Michael) and Brittany (Ricky); his siblings, Randall (Pamela) Dunn, Nancy (Skip) Crews, Robyn (Rod) Abbott, Traci (Ed) Duffey, Rick (Carrie) Turner, and Carri Ann Turner. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild that is on the way. There are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who will also miss him dearly. Stan was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Dunn; his mother and stepfather, Wanda and Amos Turner; his grandparents, Earl and Nancy Smith; the mother of his children, Debra Carr Dunn; and his son, Jacob Earl Dunn.

A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 9, at 2 p.m., in Sheldon, Mo., at the Sheldon Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to The Heart Foundation (https://theheartfoundation.org/).
