Lola Marie (Moreland) Stoner

Lola Marie (Moreland) Stoner, 82, of Nevada, Mo., passed away at her home in Nevada on Jan. 20, 2020. She was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Butler, Mo., the daughter of Lloyd Wilson and Sally Francis (Derr) Moreland.

Lola was married to Leland "Bud" Stoner. They owned and operated numerous businesses in the Rich Hill area. Moving to Nevada in later years after retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lola loved to play pitch.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 13, 2016; parents; three brothers, Ronald Bud Moreland, Jaydee Moreland, and Tom Moreland; and one sister, Wanda Blankenship.

She is survived by two sisters, special sister Kate Champlin of Nevada, Mo., Sally and Gerald Bauer, Rockville, Mo.; special great niece, Cierra Bear, Nevada; and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, at Heuser Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital in care of Heuser Funeral Home.
