Nevada R-5 to provide free lunches to students in need during school closure

* a letter issued by the Nevada R-5 School District Administrative Office, it was announced Monday that free lunches would be provided to school-aged children during the school postponement.

According to the letter, " There has been much discussion around food being provided for students during this time of school closure due to COVID-19. As a response to this need, Nevada R-5 School District will be offering a FREE daily cold lunch for anyone 18 years of age and under. This grab and go meal will be served at Benton Elementary (500 E. Vernon St.) west doors and at Nevada High School (800 W. Hickory St.) at the south circle drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m."

Parents are encouraged to fill out the form at https://forms.gle/uEYtdKcsfVwbhg7dA to assist in meal preparation.
