Loretta Louise (Bemboom) Penner, of Lamar, Mo., passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at her home.

Loretta was born June 1, 1944, to John and Antionette (Distler) Bemboom. She was born and raised in Jefferson City, Mo. She started and raised a family of five in various parts of Missouri until finally settling in Lamar, Mo., and has been a resident for the past 40 plus years. She worked raising her family with different jobs; cook, waitress, store clerk, and farmer. The job that she loved the most was being a mom and taking care of her family, close and far away.

Loretta is welcomed by her son, Robert “Bobby” Raines; daughter, Maxine Grayson; grandson, Shaun Raines; and son-in-law, Thomas McWilliams. She also gets to have family time now with brother and his wife, Charles Bemboom and bride Dortha Lorene Boten; brother, Herbet Bemboom; and her parents and grandparents.

Leaving to remember and miss her are her children, Victoria Raines, Poplar Bluff, Mo., Robin Stewart and husband, Bryan Stewart, Bronson, Kan., and Mary McWilliams, Lamar, Mo. She also had those who called her grandma: Patrick, Alexandria, Logan, and Miranda (Vicky’s crew), John and Emily (Robin’s crew) and Libby, Rachel and Michael (Mary’s crew). She was also blessed with the name Granny by seven great-grandchildren. Loretta also has a baby brother, Francis Bemboom, of Marshall, Mo.

Growing up we have fond memories of family get togethers with our big city cousins (Kansas City), that we love and adore today, Wanda, Laura, and Charlie Joe. Mom, Grandma, Granny, Aunt, and friend you will be loved and missed always.

Visitation will be at noon, Friday, Feb. 28, at Daniel Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 1 p.m., at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.
