Kerry Lue (Headrick) Duncan

Kerry Lue (Headrick) Duncan, 39, Sheldon, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. Kerry was born April 7, 1981, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Walter R. Headrick Jr. and Terry L. (Westerhold) Headrick Logan.

Kerry grew up in Sheldon and graduated from Sheldon High School in 1999, where she was active in FFA, was an original founding member of the Sheldon FFA Chapter, and she played all school sports. She was also active in Sheldon 4-H, where she loved showing steers, decorating cakes with her grandma, and spending time with friends.

Kerry attended Fort Scott Community College and later graduated from Wentworth Academy with an Associate Degree in Fine Arts. She worked as a Para for Nevada Schools, Heartland Hospital, and she was active in Special Olympics. Her passions were cooking, helping Larry with cattle and being with her family. Kerry was a member of the Rinehart Christian Church.

Kerry was so full of life. She was a gypsy soul, who lived life to its fullest. Kerry loved love, and all the people in her life. She was a friend to everyone, and never knew a stranger. Everyone could count on her for a smile, a laugh or a hug. And if she could surprise you, or leave you speechless, she was all about it. With everything she loved in her life, she loved her two precious boys the most.

Kerry is survived by her children, Bronson Daulton, Jace Duncan, Kallie Irwin, and her fiancé, Larry Irwin, all of the home in Sheldon; mother, Terry Logan (H.M.), Sheldon; father, Walter Headrick (Becky), Richards; sister, Katlyn Logan, Monroe City; grandfathers Wayne Westerhold and Hugh Logan; stepsister, Melinda Tyer; stepbrothers, Michael Dickey and Morgan Collins; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kerry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peggy Ann Westerhold, Marilyn Logan, and Roy and Elsie Headrick.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, at Rinehart Christian Church in Richards, Mo., with Pastor Elijah Pierson and Pastor Kevin Moyers officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, Mo. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 29, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
