The Vernon County Youth Fair Royalty competition held its annual judging at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 28, at the Vernon County Courthouse. The girls enjoyed visiting with each other while enjoying snacks and cookies. The contestants voted on whom they would like to see awarded Miss Congeniality during the event.

The queen contest is open to those 15-22 years of age. The princess contest is open to those 10-14 years old. The queen and princess contestants are judged by a panel of three judges. Judging is much like an interview. The contestants are judged on poise and presentation, royalty application, communication skills during their interview, activity involvement, community service, leadership in youth activities, and achievements and awards.

Coronation will take place at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, at the show pavilion.
