Updates given during brief community partners call

Friday, July 31, 2020

During a very brief community partners conference call Wednesday morning, area health providers gave updates on COVID-19 measures.

Vernon County Health Department

The department reiterated the changes that have been made as far as the way updates are given in regards to COVID-19 cases. "We changed the way we update everybody," stated a representative from the department. "Instead of updating every time we get a new case, we've just started updating once a week. Currently, we have 45 positives that have come through Vernon County and three of those are still active as of this Monday."

Nevada Regional Medical Center

"We've done about 1,070 tests," stated Nevada Regional Medical Center Director Steve Branstetter. "We had 45 positives and nobody in the hospital right now, as well as no deaths for the county." The hospital is also preparing for testing measures during the winter months (i.e.- tents and keeping patients warm).
