Nevada downed by Seneca
In Thursday evening prep volleyball action, the Nevada Lady Tiger volleyball team was bested by Seneca in four sets.
The Big 8 Conference West division road-loss moves the Lady Tigers to 3-11 overall, and 0-2 in West-division play.
Nevada came out strong, notching a 25-18 opening-set victory.
The Lady Tigers then dropped three consecutive sets, by margins of 16-25, 21-25, and 23-25.
Nevada sophomore Emma Leisure tallied a team-high 30 assists, while fellow sophomore teammate Trinity Gayman recorded 17 kills.
Additionally for the Lady Tigers — Laney Coons chipped in 10 digs, and Hannah Godsey, three aces.
In preliminary action, the Nevada junior varsity team (9-6) was dealt a two-set defeat — 18-25, 22-25.
The Lady Tigers return to the court Oct. 6 for a Big 8 Conference West division match with Monett.
