Johnnie Roberta Miller

Johnnie Roberta Miller, 79, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020. Johnnie was born June 4, 1941, in Schell City, Mo., to John R. and Veda M. (Goodwin) Hutchison.

Johnnie grew up in Schell City and graduated from Schell City High School Class of 1959. She was employed by the State Rehabilitation Center in Nevada for 31 years. Johnnie enjoyed playing cards (pitch), crocheting, and playing Bingo. She loved spending time with her family, she was a loving mother and grandmother.

Johnnie is survived by her children, Connie Castro (Al), San Antonio, Texas, Diane Stacy (Jerry), Tennessee, Roberta Friedli (Warren), Nevada, Mo., Bob Miller Houston, Texas, Mike Miller, Farlington, Kan., and Peggy Spencer (Shannon), Fort Scott, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three nieces, extended family and many, many, special friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City, Mo., with Bro. Jerry Pyle officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m., prior to the service at the graveside. Those in attendance are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and practice social distancing. Music will be played during the visitation.

At this time there is no longer a statewide limitation on the number of people attending funerals or visitations, however those in attendance will be asked to maintain social distancing, and that people are welcome to and, indeed, are encouraged to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.
