One dominated on the mound.

The other crushed it at the plate.

As a result, Nevada Griffons teammates Chase Beiter and Jesse Fonteboa were named MINK League Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week, respectively, for their efforts on the diamond over the past three games against the Joplin Outlaws and Sedalia Bombers.

Beiter threw a complete game shutout in Joplin last Monday night, striking out 10 Outlaws while only allowing three hits.

Fonteboa, meanwhile, collected six hits — half of which were home runs — in 12 at-bats between June 21 and 24, driving in six runs in the process.

The performances from Beiter and Fonteboa helped Nevada finish 2-1 on the week.
