Shawn Michael Prentice

Shawn Michael Prentice, 20, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. Shawn was born June 17, 2001, in Santa Ann, Calif., to Robert B. Prentice and Kelly A. Pate.

Shawn was raised in the Deerfield area. He graduated from Nevada High School Class of 2019 where he played football and was a member of the FFA. Shawn was currently working at the Bates County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the races, and playing video games with friends.

Survivors include his mother, Kelly Pate, Stotts City, Mo.; a brother, Robert Prentice, Nevada, Mo.; as well as other relatives, and special friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating.
