Alberta Janet Loiselle

Alberta Janet Loiselle, 64, Nevada, Mo., died Dec. 16, 2003, at her home in Nevada. She was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Lamont, Mo., to Lawrence Alfred Stewart and Hazel Neomi Garland Stewart. She married Donald Loiselle on Jan. 25, 1971, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of Nevada, Mo.

Mrs. Loiselle grew up in Nevada and attended Nevada Schools. Many years were spent as a foster parent providing a home for 18 children at various times. She managed Peter Pan Ice Cream Parlors for six years in Nevada, Fort Scott and Dodge City, Kan. She worked for the Vernon County Sheriff's Office for 14 years and was currently managing the Cosy Court Apartments in Nevada. She was a member of Nevada Eagles Lodge in Nevada, Mo.

Survivors in addition to her husband Donald, include three sons, Albert "Mitch" Pryor, Nevada, Mo., Joey Pryor, Cleyburne, Texas, and Ron Loiselle, Reed Springs, Mo.; two daughters, Elaine Schlichting, Lamar, Mo., and Kathy Pryor, Galena, Mo.; mother, Hazel Woods, Nevada, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two step children, six step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Holland, Nevada, Mo., and Neoma Johnson, Kansas City, Mo.; two half-sisters, Margie Beddell and Shirley Shanon; and two half-brothers, Alfred Stewart and George Stewart. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lorine Harreld in 1966; one half-brother, Skipper Stewart and an infant brother.

The family receives friends from 10 to 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo., with graveside services following at Moore Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Evans officiating.
