Harold Raymond Keefauver

Harold Raymond Keefauver, 94, of Fort Scott, Kan., formerly of Deerfield, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at the Guest Home Estates VI (Arkhaven Nursing Home) in Fort Scott. He was born Sept. 28, 1909, in Rose, Kan., the son of Lebright Marion and Lillie Carolyn Baker Keefauver. He married Myron Faye Everhart on Sept. 21, 1930, in Louisburg, Kan. She preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 1995.

He was a farmer in the Deerfield, Mo., area for many years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Fort Scott.

Survivors include his son, Delbert Ray Keefauver, Tacoma, Wash.; one sister, Muriel Lane, Florence, Ore.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, George Keefauver, Clate Keefauver and Jim Keefauver; four sisters, Mable Scott, Mildred Lane, Maude Richardson and Edith Higgans.

The Rev. Tom Tinker will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at the Memory Gardens of Bourbon County Cemetery.

Family and friends will meet at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home at 1 p.m., and leave for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
