Maurine F. Dennis

Maurine F. Dennis, 83, Nevada, Mo., passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at the Barone Alzheimer Care Center, Nevada, following a length illness. She was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Walker, Mo., to William L. Dally and Ella Mae Davis Dally. She married Earl E. Dennis on Feb. 12, 1943, in Seattle, Wash., and he survives of the home.

Maurine was a graduate of Walker High School in 1938. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harwood, Mo., and a member of the Coal Creek Helping Hand Club, Blue Mound, Kan. Mrs. Dennis helped raise cattle on the family farm and was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, Earl, she is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Wallace and her husband Jack, Walker, Mo.; one grandson, Brandon Dennis, Kansas City, Mo.; two granddaughters, Dawn Toepter, Walker, Mo., and Aimee Dennis, Nevada, Mo.; and one sister, Wilda Eddy, Nevada, Mo. She was preceded in death by one son, Luther Dennis in 2001, and one brother, Lane Dally.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Antioch Cemetery with John Nichols officiating. Friends may call now and until 1:30 p.m., Monday at Ferry Funeral Home.
