Fred Dewayne Coppage

Fred Dewayne Coppage, 73, Warsaw, Mo., died Jan. 28, 2005, at Garden Valley Manor, in Gladstone, Mo. He was born on Sept. 16, 1931, in Pleasanton, Kan., to John Quintin Coppage and Rosa Rittenhouse.

He was a Kansas City resident most of his life. He worked for TWA for more than 25 years. He lived in Warsaw, Mo., for the past 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Paul Coppage; a sister, Dorothy Stoughton; and a daughter, Debra Pearce. He is survived by a brother, Bob Coppage, Pittsburg, Kan.; and a sister, Lucille Staton, Pittsburg, Kan.; three children, Jack Coppage, Plattsburgh, Mo., James Coppage, Rich Hill, and Susan Barber, Smithville, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held today, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m., at the Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill with Bill Perkey officiating. Musical selections was "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers were Chris Vanderford, James Barber, Andrew Barber, Brett Coppage, Daniel Barber, Dan Creason and Mark Meyers. Interment was in Fairview-Rider Cemetery in Rich Hill. The family suggests memorials be made to the Liberty Hospital Hospice, P.O. Box 1002, Liberty, MO 64069. Arrangements were by the Hueser Funeral Home in Rich Hill.
