Curtis O'Del Hollandsworth

Curtis O'Del Hollandsworth, 68, Nevada, died June 10, 2005, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 3, 1937, in Montreal, Mo., the son of Arthur and Effie (Calvert) Hollandsworth. He married Patricia Colton on March 17, 1987, in Butler.

He was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for several years and also worked for the city of Desoto, Kan. He was a U.S. Army veteran with commendations as a marksman. He was honorably discharged in 1960 from Fort Hood, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Leona; and two brother-in-laws. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; two daughters, Kristy Gourley, Brighton, Mo., and Amanda Hollandsworth, Nevada; four grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Kale, Desoto, Kan., and Dixie Thorson, Steilacoom, Wash.; one brother, Kenneth Hollandsworth, Kansas City, Kan.; and other family.

Memorial services will be held today, June 15, at 7 p.m., at the Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill with military rites following services. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Curtis Hollandsworth Memorial Fund in care of the Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill.
