Fowler, Ogle exchange wedding vows

Charity Lynn Fowler, daughter of Kerry and Robyn Fowler, Sheldon, became the bride of Justin Heath Ogle, son of Randy and Bobbi Ogle, on Saturday, March 12, 2005, at the Sheldon Christian Church.

Grandparents of the bride are George and Earlene Ewing and Mildred Fowler, all of Sheldon, and the late Floyd Fowler. The groom is the grandson of the late Ona Mae Beck and Robert and Donna Beck of Worthington, Minn., and the late Duane Ogle and Mildred Ogle, Odessa, Mo.

Andrew Kerschner, pastor of the Sheldon Christian Church, solemnized the vows of the double-ring candlelight ceremony.

Two altar spiral candelabras and center branch candelabra were decorated with red roses, ivy, and black and white tulle. The altar was also decorated with two white Greek columns with black and white tulle, red roses and ivy. Three hurricane candles in memory of the couple's late grandparents were also part of the altar decorations. Church pews were decorated with sprays of red roses, ivy, and black bows. The windows held white pillar candles accented with red roses and ivy.

Two large wreaths also accented with red roses, ivy and black bows were hung on the exterior doors of the church.

The entry was decorated with a silver candelabra holding red roses and white candles. A display of the bridal couple's pictures from their childhood was the focal point.

Guest book attendant was the future sister-in-law of the couple, Amber Woody, El Dorado Springs. Gift attendant was Jillian Leininger, Lamar, cousin of the bride. Alexa Richardson, Webb City, cousin of the bride, and Hannah Staab, Omaha, Neb., cousin of the groom were program attendants. Bubble attendant was Lauryn Leininger, Lenexa, Kan., cousin of the bride, and Samantha McHenry, Nevada, also cousin of the bride, was the bird seed attendant. The bride's personal assistant was her aunt, Jeanie Fowler, Sheldon.

Organist Helen Leininger, Sheldon, aunt of the bride, and pianist, Deanna Bickel, Columbia, cousin of the bride, played selected wedding music. Sonja Hart, Milo, friend of the bride, sang "The Parent's Prayer" and "Christ in You, Christ in Me."

Candlelighters were Ashley Leininger, Sheldon, cousin of the bride, and Samantha Staab, Omaha, Neb., cousin of the groom. Both wore Mori Lee black satin two-piece, tea-length gowns.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father. She wore a Mori Lee strapless bridal gown made of duchess satin featuring a sweetheart neckline and an A-line skirt. The bodice and skirt of the gown were accented with pearls and crystals as well as black embroidery. Black satin trim encircled the neckline and the chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil was trimmed in crystals and secured by a tiara of pearls and crystals. She carried a red rose and ivy bouquet. Her only jewelry were earrings borrowed from her cousin, Beth Fowler. She also carried a handkerchief that belonged to the groom's great-grandmother, Sylva Serales, and to complete the tradition, wore a blue garter given to her by her cousin, Angel Fowler. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Crystal Shepherd, Mount Vernon. Erin Leininger, Sheldon, cousin of the bride was the bridesmaid. They also wore Mori Lee strapless gowns made of black satin, with A-line skirts. The bodices were accented with white satin and the waist with a white satin bow. The flower girls were Payton Younger, Bonner Springs, Kan., and Taylor Coonce, Rockville; both are cousins of the groom. Their gowns were also a Mori Lee design, with white satin bodice and a tulle overskirt accented with black and white pearls and crystals. The dresses also had a black bow at the back of the waist.

Best man was Wes Ogle, Nevada, brother of the groom. Brad Ogle, Nevada; brother of the groom, was the groomsman. The ringbearer was Cade Shepherd, Mount Vernon, nephew of the bride. All of the men and ringbearer wore black tuxedos with white shirts, black tie and black vest. The groom's attire was the same except his tie and vest were white. They wore boutonnieres of red roses.

Jay Shepherd, Mount Vernon, brother-in-law of the bride, and Jeremy Fowler, Oronogo, cousin of the bride, seated guests.

For her daughter's wedding, Robyn Fowler wore a sleeveless ankle-length gown, the color of eggplant, with a shear long-sleeved jacket, also in the color of eggplant, trimmed with satin and sequins.

Bobbi Ogle wore an ankle- length kiwi-colored gown to her son's wedding. The two-piece gown had a portrait collar with a faux wrap top, three-quarter length cuff sleeves and a fluid bias cut skirt.

The wedding reception was held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge in Nevada. Reception greeters were Joe and Vicki Jadlot, Sheldon, friends of the bride, and Kenny and Gwen Jones, Nevada, friends of the groom. Reception gift attendant was LeeAnn Cox, Butler, friend of the bride. Reception guest book attendant was Kerry Daulton, Sheldon, friend of the bride.

The wedding cake was four tiers separated by white columns. All the layers were decorated with fresh red roses and ivy. The groom's cake was a two-layer chocolate cake with a basket weave design frosting and chocolate-covered strawberries. Reception attendants were Janice Lundberg, Wichita, Kan., Kathy Fowler and Mary Fowler, both of Sheldon, all aunts of the bride. Also attending were Pam Ogle, Nevada, Vicki Wood, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Julie Staab, Omaha, Neb., all aunts of the groom. Reception assistants were Eileen Leininger, cousin of the bride, and Linda Elderton, friend of the bride, both from Sheldon.

Behind the cake tables was white lattice decorated with white tulle, white lights, ivy and red roses. Two Greek columns holding candles and decorated with ivy and red roses stood beside the tables.

As a gift to her sister, Crystal and Jay Shepherd presented a slide show of pictures of the bridal couple's childhood through their time together.

Wedding assistants were Jeanie Fowler, Sheldon, aunt of the bride, Diana Leininger, Nevada, cousin of the bride, Crystal Shepherd, Mount Vernon, sister of the bride, Beth Fowler, Oronogo, cousin of the bride, and Linda Elderton, Sheldon, friend of the bride.

The couple left for their honeymoon in the bride's father's 1970 Chevelle. The bride's parents left their own wedding in the same car.

After a honeymoon in Branson, Mo., the couple returned to their home in Nevada.
