Stanley Neil Wilson, 69, Sheldon, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at his home in Sheldon following a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 28, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Stanley Earl Wilson and Lohoma Lee Broswell Wilson. He married Mary Alice Karhoff on March 3, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nev., and she survives of the home.

Stanley served in the Air National Guard of Iowa for two years. He worked as a truck driver for 33 years for Caldwell Hartung Trucking in Des Moines, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local No. 47, Des Moines.

Stanley moved to Sheldon in 1988. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Nevada Council No. 855 and Fourth Degree Assembly No. 1953, Sheldon American Legion, member and past president of the Sheldon Lions Club, member and past president of the Nevada Eagles Lodge No. 3770, and former mayor of Sheldon.

In addition to his wife, Mary Alice, he is survived by three sisters, Margaret Ann Gray, Eatonton, Ga., Johnetta Rushlow and Sheila "Mickie" Ferris, both of Sheldon; one uncle, Carl Broswell, and his wife, Joyce, Eldon, Mo.; three aunts, Lillie Sweeney, Milledgeville, Calif., Maymie Brown, Long Beach, Calif., and Adola Wilson, Mason City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nevada, with Father Anthony Pileggi officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Milo. Rosary services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Eagles services will be at 7 p.m. Visitation will follow from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
