Robert Loyd Garrett, 59, Lowry City, Mo., formerly of Sheldon, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, in Sheldon, Mo. He was born Aug. 19,1946, in Sheldon, to Lawrence L. "Pete" Garrett and Clara Louise Karhoff Garrett. He married Erma Wall on Oct. 23, 1981, in Nevada, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Mr. Garrett was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nevada, F.0.E. No. 3667, Clinton, Mo., and Teamsters Local No. 41 in Kansas City, Mo. He worked in trucking for 35 years, retiring fiom Buford Trucking, Kansas City, Mo., in 2001. He lived in Grain Valley, Mo., for 18 years before moving to Lowry City in 2002, where he lived the remainder of his life.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Erma, of the home, include two daughters, Tannina Garrett, Kansas City, Mo., Bobbi Jean Bowling and her husband, Calvin, Wellington, Mo.; one son, Eddie Nimmo, Buffalo, Mo.; one brother, Leonard Garrett, Lowry City; three sisters, Linda Conrad, Mary Buckner, and Martha Byram, all of Sheldon, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Marshall, Mike, and David.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Milo, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
