Arment Billy T. Arment

Arment Billy T. Arment, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Born July 22, 1926 at Rector, Ark., son of the late Gilbert L. and Lottie Taylor Arment, he was a U.S. Army veteran of Worl War II and Korea, and a school teacher and coach in Portageville, Caruthersville, Kennett, and Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff.

On April 14, 1945 in Mineral Wells, Texas, he married Mary Grace Heflin, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, John Charles Arment, and one son Stephen Dale Arment.

Survivors include one son, John Taylor Arment, of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Freeman, of Kennett and Janet Susan Kennon, of Virginia Beach, Va.; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 22, at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. Burial will follow in Jonesboro, Ark.
