Lois Ailene Tow

Lois Ailene Tow, age 95, of Nevada, died on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. She was born on Jan. 15, 1911, in Blue Mound, Kan., to William and Clara Gray. She was married to Clifton Lloyd Tow on June 16, 1935, in Nevada, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1981.

Lois grew up on a farm near Richards, Mo. She attended school in a school house located on the family farm there. She was a homemaker and was a lifelong resident of Vernon County. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Nevada.

Survivors include one son, Gary Tow and his wife Janice, of Olathe, Kan.; one daughter, Connie Allard of Nevada; five grandchildren, Scott Tow, of Overland Park, Kan., Kara Wescott and Eric Tow, Olathe, Kan.; Corey Allard, Nevada, and Doug Allard, Tampa, Fla.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Stanley Gray; one sister, Ruby Kunkel, and an infant son, Ronald D. Tow.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
