Victor Henry

Victor Henry passed away at his horne in Prescott Valley, Ariz., on Friday afternoon, June 2, 2006, at the age of 91. He was born in rural Harrison County, Mo., on July 21, 1914. The son of John and Effie Davis Henry, he was united in marriage to Christine Davis in Fort Scott, Kan., on Aug. 1, 1939.

After farming in the Metz area for 27 years, Victor retired in 1979, as a Field Representative for the Columbia Mutual Insurance Company in Columbia, Mo. After retirement, he enjoyed doing taxidermy work, and spending winters in Sun City, Ariz. While in Sun City, he painted, did wood carving, and worked as a volunteer preparing income tax returns.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Christine; his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Lou of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Brian and Amy of Las Vegas, and Kevin and Heather of Round Rock, Texas; one great-grandson, Austin; and twin great-granddaughters, Sierra Christine and Kaiya Marie, all of Las Vegas; three nieces, Lila Weiler of Seattle, Wash., Benna Terzich of Lakeview, Ore., Karen Skiber of Lincoln, Neb.; and one nephew, Donald McIntosh of Oregon.

Memorial services will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, July 21, at Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill, Mo. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Mo.

The family will receive friends Friday 9:30 a.m., until service time at the funeral home.
