Joyce Bendure

Joyce Bendure, 67, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Nevada, died Aug. 8, 2006, in Wichita, following a lengthy illness. Joyce was born April 19, 1939, in Nevada, Mo., to Clyde and Glade Williams.

Joyce was reared in Nevada, and lived here for many years. She attended school in Bronaugh, Mo.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence, of the home; five children, Dennis Williams, Topeka, Kan., Teri Wages and Rocky, Wichita, Joe Hendrix and his wife, Jamie, Raytown, Mo., Angel Smith and her husband, Ernie, Harlingen, Texas, Kathy Benson and her husband, Allen, Mulvane, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Duane Williams, Kansas City, Mo., and Richard Williams, Rich Hill, Mo.; two sisters, Daisy Shutters and Fern Swan both of Nevada; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Gene Williams, Ruby Wilson, and Marie Pryor.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Community Christian Church in Nevada with the Rev. Willis Hood of Wichita, officiating. Interment will be in Moore Cemetery.
