Vickie Lynn Armstrong

Vickie Lynn Armstrong, 47, Nevada, Mo., passed away at her home on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, following a lengthy illness. She was born on Dec. 23, 1958, in Kansas City, Mo., to Byron W. Richards Jr. and Frances Morine Foglesong Richards. She married Donald Lee Armstrong on Dec. 2, 1980, in Walker, Mo., and he survives of the home.

Vickie came to Nevada at a young age where she has lived ever since. She was a 1977 graduate of Nevada High School. Vickie worked at Nevada Habilitation Center from 1977 until she retired in 2005 due to her illness.

Survivors in addition to her husband Don of the home, include two sons, Christopher Armstrong and James Armstrong, both of Nevada; one daughter, Sarah Armstrong of the home; one grandson; one brother William E. Richards, Kansas City, Mo.; and one sister, Debra M. Harlan, Gardner, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Jerry Richards.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Charline Sweet officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 6-7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 8, at the funeral home.
