Donna Faye Jackson, 57, Independence, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Truman Medical Center West in Kansas City following a lengthy illness. She was born April 13, 1949, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., to Elton Ellis Light and Mildred Frances Oyler Light. She and William O. Jackson Jr. were married on Nov. 24, 1982, in Kansas City, Mo., and he survives of the home.

Donna was a member of the North Platte Baptist Church in Platte City, Mo.

Survivors in addition to her husband William; include three sons, Jerry Lamberd and his wife Jennifer, Piper, Kan., James Lamberd and his wife Marlena, Edwardsville, Kan., and Billy Jackson, of the home; one daughter, Megan Jackson, of the home; four grandchildren, Devon Lamberd, Edwardsville, Brooklynn Lamberd, Piper, Dawson Lamberd, Edwardsville, and Avion Jackson, of the home; two brothers, Elton Gary Light, Kansas City, Mo., and Ellis Kenneth Light, Gladstone, Mo.; two sisters, Connie Lee Collins, Sedalia, Mo., and Barbara Ann Comstock, Kansas City, Mo.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Curtis Eugene Light; twin sister, Linda Kay Jones; and one granddaughter, Na'Dashia Kay Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Virgil City Cemetery, Virgil City, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 9-11 a.m., Thursday morning at the funeral home.
