Wilma Louie Wilson

Wilma Louie Wilson was born June 3, 1918, near Guthrie Center, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon Wilson and Maude (Watson) Wilson. Wilma died at the Ramsey Nursing Home in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 30, 2007.

She attended Guthrie County schools and graduated from Linden, Iowa, high school in 1935. She was married to Lloyd A. Stapes in 1935. To this marriage three sons were born, Roger, Reid and Romon (who died in infancy). In 1972 she married Albert C. Miller in Rogers, Ark.

She is survived by a son, Reid Stapes of Urbandale, Iowa; one brother, Richard Wilson, Nevada; one sister, Olive Ditmars, Sheldon; one grandson, Jon; one granddaughter, Justina; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd and Albert; sons, Ramon and Roger; one brother, Neil Wilson and his wife Ruth of Guthrie Center.

Cremation burial will be held at Redfield, Iowa, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Iowa Hospice, 5650 NW Johnston Drive, Johnston, Iowa 50131.
