Hagenson -- 50 years

Bob and Alberta Hagenson, of Nevada, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 1, 2007. The Hagensons were married at St. Mary's Church in Nevada by the Rev. White in 1957. The wedding party consisted of Patsy Campbell, Nevada, Mo., and Arlean Dobeak, Stanley, Wis., as bridesmaids. Bestmen were Richard Groves, of St. Louis, and Charles Burrow from Arkansas.

Alberta was reared in Moundville and worked with her father, Howard Campbell, at the telephone office. Bob was reared in Stanley, Wis., and helped his father on their dairy farm until he signed up at age 17 for the Air Force in 1955.

Bob and Alberta were stationed in Forbes, Kan., Frobisher Bay, Arctic Circle, Davis Monthan, Ariz., Lincoln, Neb., Stewart, Ind., and in 1967 went overseas to Naha, Okinawa, for four years then on to Offutt Air Force Base, in Bellevue, Neb. He spent 21 years in the Air Force and retired as a tech sergeant. After retirement he worked for the Bellevue schools at the high school as grounds keeper for 25 years. She worked four years at the officers club, two years at the local nursing home as a cook's helper, and 20 years at Bellevue Junior High School as a cook's helper and cashier.

The Hangensons have five children, 10 grandchildren and soon one great-grandchild -- Teresa Hagenson and daughter, Heather, of Nevada, Mo., Bob Jr. and Michelle Hagenson and sons Zachary, Ryan and daughter Abby, of Bellevue, Neb., Christopher Hagenson, of Verona, Wis., Sunday Thomas and her four sons, James, Jason, Christan and George from Shawnee, Okla., and Lisa and Aaron King, with son Rob and daughter Kayla, of Verona, Wis. Rob King and his fiancée Laura are expecting in December.
