Larry Dean Bloesser, age 64, a resident of Richards, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, following a heart attack at his home. He was born June 30, 1943, in Fort Scott, the son of Sonny Earl Bloesser and Mildred Kennedy Bloesser. Larry was a 1961 graduate of Richards High School. He married Vivian Nichols on July 23, 1961 in Richards. He owned and operated V&L Sales, a lawn mower and a small engine repair business. He was a member of the Richards Christian Church, Garland Masonic Lodge and the Fort Scott Scottish Rite Temple. He enjoyed collecting coins and bird watching.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian, of the home; two daughters, Carmen Thrasher, of McCloud, Okla., and Shelly Lowry and husband Harry, of Chanute, Kan.; two brothers, Earl Gene Bloesser, of Raymore, Mo., and Don Bloesser, of Redfield, Kan.; two sisters, Sherry Bolyard, of Pleasanton, Kan., and Sandra Ward, of Fort Scott, Kan. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Carl Hill, Parsons; one grandson, Vincent Hill; five granddaughters, Samantha Sevart, and husband Jim, Brittani Lowry, Kelcey Lowry, Kaleene Thrasher and Jamie Thrasher; and two great-grandchildren Rhylee and Andie Sevart. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Amanda Rhea Hill.

A nephew, the Rev. Bryan L. Keith, will conduct the funeral services at 11 a.m., Wednesday in the Cheney Witt Chapel, in Fort Scott. Following the funeral services there will be a cremation. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Richland Cemetery, in Richards. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
