Betty Jean Thomas

Betty Jean Thomas, 81, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at her residence. She was born Sept. 17, 1926, in St. Joseph, Mo. She was married Aug. 30, 1955, in Yuma, Ariz., to Charles R. Thomas and he survives of the home.

Mrs. Thomas grew up in St. Joseph. She worked in the aircraft manufacturing industry during World War II. She also worked for a number of years in the manufacturing of Christmas tree lights in Kansas City. She and her husband Charles have lived in Nevada, since 1992.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Hilda Farnham and her husband Mike, San Jose, Calif., and Molly Sumner and her husband Lonnie, Santee, Calif.; one stepson, Glen Thomas and his wife Tammy, Oakdale, La.; two grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ella Mae Horn, Milo. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Horn.

No services are planned. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
