Colleen Bonn Callahan

Colleen Bonn Callahan, 87, Nevada, passed away Jan. 2, 2008, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, following a recent illness. She was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Middletown, Ind., to William Treat Piety and Leona Josephine Yeager Piety. She was married Nov. 24, 1940, in Denver, Colo., to Hick Callahan and he preceded her in death March 1977.

Mrs. Callahan was born in Indiana and spent her youth in a variety of locales. She spent most of her adult life in this area and for the past 30 years lived in Nevada. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Sweet Adelines and the Church of Christ, in Nevada. She was a devoted church member.

Survivors include one daughter, Pat White, Nevada; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, one son, Michael Callahan, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Charles Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada.

The family suggests that memorials may be made in her honor to the Fair Haven Children's Home in care of the funeral home.
