Gwendolyn Leona "Tiny" Kennedy, 84, of Metz, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada. She was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Arcadia, Kan., to Elmer Joseph and Alice Mae Morris. She married Walter Harold Kennedy on Aug. 24, 1952, in Belle Vista, Ark., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1992.

Tiny grew up in Arcadia and later in the Metz area where she went to school. She was a lifelong resident of Metz until moving to Nevada in 2006. She owned and operated the Metz Cafe~ for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Dub Kennedy and his wife Jessica, of Nevada, and Rick Kennedy, of Nevada; one daughter, Sharon Wright, of Nevada; 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Walter, she was preceded in death by two sons, Morris and an infant son, Terry; two brothers, Howard and Lester Morris, and one sister Margaret Lynch.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 14, at Antioch Cemetery, Vernon County, Mo. Friends may call now and until 10 a.m., on Friday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
