June 23

There were reports of suspicious activity in the Nevada area, a vehicle accident in the Barton County area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Fort Scott area, a traffic hazard in the Nevada area, animal neglect in the Moundville area, a phone harassment in the Nevada area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Nevada area, a sexual harassment in the Nevada area, a traffic stop in the Sheldon area, a trespassing in the Nevada area, a residentual fire in the Montevallo area, and a check well being in the Deerfield area.

Jason A. Arling, 21, of Lamar, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of passing bad checks in Bates County, and failure to appear for passing bad checks in the Cedar County. He is being held in lieu of a $1,025 cash only bond.

Kyle A. Couzens, 22, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear for unlawful use of a weapon. He was released on his own recognizance.

There were reports of a traffic stop in the Nevada area, a traffic stop in the Sheldon area, a structure fire in the Montevallo area, a vehicle accident in the Nevada, an abandoned vehicle in the Milo area, a a gas drive off in the Nevada area, fraud in the Sheldon area, a medical call in the Deerfield area, property damage in the Nevada area, a civil matter in the Nevada area, fraud in the Compton Junction area, vehicle vs. deer accident in the El Dorado Springs area and a buffalo lose in the Moundville area.

Jail Population: 15
