There were reports of a juvenile in the Nevada area, a grass fire in the Walker area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Horton area, a wrong way driver in the Nevada area, a grass fire in the Milo area, burglary in the Sheldon area, road rage in the Bronaugh area, a domestic dispute in the Schell City area, a suspicious person in the Nevada area, harassment in the Walker area, and a a suicidal subject in the Deerfield area.

Matthew S. Swarnes, 19, of Rich Hill, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of burglary, a warrant out of Bates County for three counts of burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle. He is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.

John B. Lott, 33, of Kansas City, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of a warrant out of Cass County for failure to appear for non-support, and a warrant out of Pleasant Hill for failure to appear for driving while suspended. He is being held in lieu of a $2,900 bond.

Jail population: 27
