Christopher Petroski -Sonya A. Garcia
Announcement is made of the engagement of Sonya Annette Garcia and Christopher George Petroski. The couple plan to be married on June 20, 2009, in Jasper, Mo.
Sonya is the daughter of Frank and Irene Garcia, Jasper, Mo., and granddaughter of Rachel and Louis Pennell, Jasper. She is a 2001 graduate of Jasper High School, Mo., and holds degrees from Fort Scott Community College, the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, and Monmouth University, in New Jersey. She is employed by FSCC as head volleyball coach.
Christopher is the son of Patricia and George Petroski, of Rahway, N.J. He is a 2001 graduate of Rahway High School, N.J. He holds degrees from Middlesex County College in New Jersey, the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, and a post baccalaureate teacher certification from Kean University in New Jersey. He is the program director at the Osage Prairie YMCA in Nevada, Mo.
